Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Etowah Memorial Chapel for Michael K. Bevel, 58, of Boaz. Burial in Hillcrest Cemetery, with visitation tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home. Bro. Jimmy Tolleson is officiating.
Casket-bearers are Ronnie Patterson, John Alred, Glen Bevel, Lynn Childers, Ryan Childers, Mike Smith.
On Friday, June 15, 2012, Mike went to join his daughter, Emily Miller, and father and mother, Kenneth and Shirley Bevel, and other loved ones in Heaven. Mike had a kind heart and tried to help everyone. He was an avid Auburn fan, loved basketball, helped start the Sardis Youth Basketball League and enjoyed coaching girls softball. He owned Bevel Trucking and his firsthand assistant was his grandson, Dylan Michael. He was loved by many and will be missed by more.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy Bevel; son, Shawn (Tonya) Bevel; daughter, Haley (Casey) Cornelius; son-in-law, Billy Gene Miller; seven grandchildren; sister, Linda (Leonard) Childers; brother, Keith (Christa) Bevel; several nieces and nephews.
Etowah Memorial Chapel is directing.
