Funeral will be at noon Saturday at New Liberty Tabernacle of Praise Assembly of God for Ora McClenney, Birmingham, who died Monday, June 18, 2012. Apostle Melvin Crook will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Birmingham. Service entrusted to Gadsden Memorial Funeral Home.
She leaves to cherish her memories her devoted husband of eight years, Samuel McClenney; her adopted mother, Inez Jackson of Birmingham; three dedicated sons, Willie (Shella) Simmons of Glencoe, Tommy Simmons of Athens, Ga., Reggie Simmons of Gadsden; three stepsons, Arthur McClenney of Birmingham, Donald Simmons of Chicago, Ill., Willie Albert (Ernestine) Simmons of Fort Deposit, Ala.; three stepdaughters, Sandra Sherrod of Birmingham, Willie Mae Rivers and Daisy (David) McPherson of Fort Deposit; three loving granddaughters, Neidra Simmons of Columbus, Ga., Deidra Simmons of San Antonio, Texas, Tiffany Simmons of Charlotte, N.C.; and two awesome grandsons, Rashad Simmons of Gadsden, and Tommy Jr. (Jennifer) of Statesboro, Ga.; two sisters-in-law, Ora Lee White and Cora Simmons of Fort Deposit; two brothers-in-law, Ellis Reese Simmons of Birmingham; a dear friend, Ola Mae Haygood; and a host of other relatives and friends.
