Mrs. Campbell was a loving and thoroughly devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a longtime resident of Gadsden and was retired after 25 years service with Goodyear. She was a proud member of Local No. 12 and an old school, Roosevelt Democrat. Mrs. Campbell was deeply devoted to all her family and friends, providing guidance and support to all, especially her younger relatives. She greatly enjoyed cooking for her family and friends and had a special gift for baking. In earlier years, she often opened her home to many of her sons' schoolmates and friends who to this day comment about her delicious desserts. Mrs. Campbell was a member of Paden Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her parents, Clide Seabolt and Bessie Lee Ragan; and husband of 62 years, Henry Rudolph Campbell.
Mrs. Campbell is survived by her sons, Terry Jake Campbell and Michael Todd (Blanchie) Campbell; grandson, Michael Grant Campbell; granddaughters, Jaclyn Tanner Campbell, Margaret Louise Turner and Elizabeth Christian Frazier; very special niece, Sherry Elizabeth Ragan; and many nieces, nephews and cousins whom she loved dearly.
Honorary pallbearers will be W.C. Murphy, Lois Barger, Annette Blackwell and Bertha Turner.
The family wishes to give a special thank you to Dr. Frantzcy Ceneus, as well as the devoted medical staff of the Intensive Care and Stepdown Units of Gadsden Regional Medical Center and of Gentiva.
The family will receive friends 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
