Ollie Smith, 59, of Ivalee, passed away June 26, 2012. No services will be held.
On-site cremation provided by Morgan Funeral Chapel & Crematory.
Mr. Smith worked at Gulf States Steel for over 23 years. Ollie will be remembered as a thoughtful and loving husband, father, brother and friend. Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his parents, Eugenia "Gene" and Milford Smith; and daughter, Jesse Rebecca.
Ollie leaves behind to cherish his memory, devoted wife of 33 years, Casey Smith; daughter, Dr. Layla Wren (husband, Justin); son, Derek Smith; sister, Sarah Haynes; brothers, Milford (Peggy) Smith, Ben Smith; constant companion "Princess"; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to the Ivalee Volunteer Fire Department, emergency room staff at Gadsden Regional Medical Center, and to all our other friends and neighbors for your outpouring of love, compassion, prayers and support.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ivalee School Helping Hands Fund (840 Gallant Road, Attalla, AL 35954).
