 Funeral will be at 1 P.M. today at Morgan Funeral Chapel for Sadie Belle (Hyatt) Gilliland, 81, Boaz, who died June 27, 2012. Mike Nuss and Allen Gilliland III will officiate. Burial will be in Chandler Mt. Baptist Cemetery. Morgan Funeral Chapel and Crematory directing.
Mrs. Gilliland was a member of Steele Baptist Church and Blount County and Nimble Thimble Quilting Guilds.
The family wishes to express sincere appreciation for Dr. Russell Robinson and the caring and compassionate staff and volunteers at Shepherd's Cove Hospice. Sadie was a blessing to her family and everyone she met. Her gentle ways and loving heart are an inspiration and her legacy to each of us. Mrs. Gilliland was preceded in death by her spouse, Manuel; parents, Manley V., Willie L. and Leander Hyatt; grandson, Thomas L. Gilliland; and son-in-law, Milton Fox.
Survivors: daughters, Rebecca (Roger) Cook, Kathryn (Rick) Crane, Rubye Fox; son, Manuel (Suzanne) Gilliland; sister, Rubye Nuss; brothers, Hobert Hyatt, Veston (Sara) Hyatt; grandchildren, Glenn (Dana) Fox, Robin (John) Daniel, Matthew (Anne) Fox, Ricky Crane, Melinda (Abram) Ring, Elizabeth (Thomas) Terhune, Roger (Courtney) Cook, Chris (Elizabeth) Fox, Allen (Kerie) Gilliland III, Micah Gilliland; great-grandchildren, Raven and Grant Fox, John David, Joshua, Rachel, Rebekah, Josiah and Ruth Daniel, Isabel and Anabel Fox, Owen and Caedom Ring, Tommy and Abigail Terhune, Carter and Ashlynn Cook, Izzy, AJ, Kailey, Nathan, Sarah Gilliland; host of nieces, nephews and friends
