Mr. William "Billy" Mostella passed on Monday, July 2, 2012, at Gadsden Regional Medical Center in Gadsden. He was born April 14, 1948, in Birmingham to the late Betty Mae Mostella Cook. He attended Poplar Springs Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ in Boaz, under District Elder Julius V. Cook Sr., pastor. Mr. Mostella was preceded in death by his son, Mario Boley; mother, Betty Mae Mostella Cook; father, George C. Cook Jr.; sister, Mary Patsy Looney; brother, George C. Cook III; and nephews, Willie (Lonza) Looney and Darrell Louise Cook. He leaves as survivors brothers, Arthur Dan (Gwen) Mostella, Atlanta, Ga., Timothy Cook, Stanley (Tommie) Cook, Darren (Yolanda) Cook, Ashville, Julius (Marilyn) Cook Sr., Attalla; sister, Charlotte (Larry) Stoudmire, Ashville; brother-in-law, Willie Looney, Ashville; three uncles, Harry (Dicey) Mostella, Warren, Ohio, Wallace (Elizabeth) Mostella, Ashville, and Wimberly (Debra Sue) Cook, Augusta, Ga.; three aunts, Earnestine Williams, Ashville, Bertha McDugall, and Jean Putman, Warren, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations sent to Poplar Springs Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ Building Fund, P.O. Box 833, Boaz, AL 35957. The family would like to send thanks to everyone for their prayers and support during their time of bereavement.
