Funeral services for Christy Lee Hutcheson, 53, of Albertville, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Collier-Butler Chapel. The Rev. Perry Vinson will officiate. Burial will follow in Asbury Church Cemetery in Albertville. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is directing.
Christy was born in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., to Eleanor and Horace Hutcheson Jr. She loved to make everyone feel loved. Her smile, spunk and determination gave the entire family strength. Christy was a Church of Christ by faith.
She was preceded in death by her father, Horace Greely Hutcheson Jr.; a brother, Raymond Delane Powell; and grandparents, Marvin and Laverne Humanes.
Christy is survived by her mother, Eleanor Frances Humanes Vinson; father, David Vinson; sisters and brothers, Linda Katrina Hutcheson (Kevin) Shelnutt, Perry Lee Vinson, Kenneth Marvin Hutcheson, James Wesley and Kay Powell, Keith Allan Powell, Jeffrey David Vinson, Robbie Ann Gray and Billy Gray (Melissa); an ex-sister-in-law, Pamela (Jeff) Mullins; uncles, Michael Humanes, Lee (Sue) Humanes and Wayne Davenport; aunts, Lavenis (Gary) Sims, Viola (Larry) Bernie and Wendy (Bruce) Shipp; great-aunts, Junita Humanes and Gladys Gustine; cousins, Ricky Gustine, Linda (Arthur) Martinez and Ravina Garcia; 11 nephews; five great-nephews; seven nieces; and seven great-nieces.
Pallbearers will be Gabe Vinson, Mike Monk, Logan Crowder, Jeremy Todd, Billy Gray and Mark Dustin.
Special thanks to Michael Humanes, along with these nieces and nephews: Sabrina Laverne Shelnutt, Frances Erica Shelnutt (Jonathon) Pettit, Brianna Marie Vinson, Amber Leigh McKenzie Vinson, Jason Wesley Powell, Justin Allen McKenzie, Sadie Lee Pettit, Richard Lee Pettit and Aaron Raymond Thornell.
The family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m., prior to the services on Tuesday at Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services in Gadsden.
