Mr. Herbert "Herbie" Roberts, 56, of McGinnis Circle, Summerville, Ga., passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2012, in a Rome hospital.
A Dalton, Ga., native, he was born on Aug. 11, 1955, to the late William E. Roberts and Esther Pitner Roberts, who survives. Mr. Roberts was an auto salesman for Nissan of Gadsden and a member of Harrell Street Church of God.
Surviving are wife, Judy Kennett Roberts; mother, Esther Roberts of Tunnell Hill, Ga.; mother-in-law, Elizabeth Kennett of Summerville; daughter and special friend, Ashley Roberts and Brooklyn Price of Summerville; sisters, Jackie Butler and Dianne McIntosh of Dalton and Tammy Magill of California; brother, Charles Roberts of Dalton; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 14, in the Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with Bro. Denny Smith officiating. Interment in Greenhills Memory Garden. Earle Rainwater Funeral Home in charge.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 this evening (EDT) at the funeral home.
