Theodore Francis Robinson, 90, of Weaverville, N.C., passed away Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012, at home with his family.

Mr. Robinson was born Oct. 7, 1921, in Harrelson County, Ga. He was raised in Alabama City and Tidmore Bend. He attended Southside High School and graduated from Spring Hill College. He was a World War II veteran, serving in the U.S. Army Air Corps. Later, he was employed with the Social Security Administration, retiring as the district manager for Western North Carolina after 35 years. He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Beatrice Robinson; his brothers and sisters, Ralph, Autrey, Ruth, Rena, Maron, Pat and the infant twins.
He is survived by his two sons, Patrick Leland Robinson of Honesdale, Pa., and Theodore B. Robinson of Weaverville, N.C.
His remains will be taken to Semmes, Ala., to lie with his wife Bea and his close friends.
West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville, N.C., is assisting the family.
