Helen Brogdon Thompson, 75, of Trussville, formerly of Gadsden, passed away Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Jerry Wayne Brogdon; and her parents, John Mason Brogdon and Margie Dixon Brogdon. She was an extraordinary homemaker and a loving wife, mother, grandmother and aunt and will be greatly missed by all.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, John Thompson; sister, Annette Wells; children, Judy Thompson Sigler (Jerry), Joy Thompson Skaggs (Stan), Jerry Thomas Thompson (Sherri), Jeffrey Thompson (Sue); grandchildren, Trey Skaggs (Jenny), Matthew Sigler, Shannan Rachael Thompson, Matthew Byron Peeples; great-grandchildren, Charlie Skaggs and Briana Sigler; and many other beloved relatives.
The family will receive visitors at a remembrance of her life at her home, 100 Pamela Drive, Trussville, Ala., today from 1 to 4 p.m.
