Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. today at Gadsden Cumberland Presbyterian Church for Johnny Mack Hall, 81, of Gadsden, who died Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012. The Rev. Daniel Barkley will officiate. Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home is in charge.
Mr. Hall was retired from Republic Steel, was an elder of Gadsden Cumberland Presbyterian Church, was a skilled carpenter and electrician and loved to fish. Johnny Mack loved his family, loved his church and loved God. He will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Nell Hall; sister, Estelle Howell of Kansas; sons, Mike (Gina) Hall of Murfreesboro, Tenn., David (Trudy) Hall of Hoover and Bryan (Taryn) Hall of Gadsden; daughters, Charlene (Gary) Whitefield of Leesburg and Charlotte Davis of Leesburg; grandchildren, Brandon Betterton, Jeremy Whitefield, Jenni Betterton, Andrew Whitefield, Whitney Hall, Jonathan Hall, Mackenzie Scharnhorst, Brady Hall and Garrett Hall; and eight great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be grandchildren.
Honorary pallbearers will be great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 1 until 3 p.m. today at the church.
