Jason Shane Duncan, a native of Gadsden, Ala., and resident of Creola, Ala., died Monday, Dec. 3, 2012.

He was a graduate of Etowah High School where he played football and basketball. He was a member of the Etowah Blue Devils Alumni. Shane played softball for many years and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was full of life and lived it to the fullest. He was a loving husband, father, son and friend who will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, George and Christine Duncan, and Jeanne Smith.
Survivors include his wife, Darlene Duncan; three children, Dylan, Dalton and Madison; parents, George and Linda Duncan, and Donna and Larry Steele; two sisters, Shelley Duncan Robinson and Kara Coakley; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
A memorial visitation will be held this evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Collier-Butler Funeral Home. The family requests no flowers, please.
