Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Morgan Funeral Chapel for Ambros Elmer Wallace, 72, Southside, who died Friday, May 2, 2014. The Rev. James O. Wallace will officiate. Burial will be in Macedonia Cemetery, Ragland. Morgan Funeral Chapel & Crematory is directing.
Mr. Wallace was a veteran, having served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was Fire Chief of the Rainbow City Fire Department and was retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Pearly Wallace.
Survivors are his fiancée, Eva Patricia White, Southside; daughters, Tonia Bates, Southside, and Diranda Kyle, Rainbow City; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and sisters, Olene (Jerry) Garrison, Rainbow City, and Paulette Amos.
Pallbearers will be Rodney McCoy, Shane Turley, Pat Stephens, Adam Pentecost, Larry Pentecost and Richard Lovell.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 tonight at Morgan Funeral Chapel.
