Forestlawn Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 this evening at the funeral home. Mrs. Spraggins passed away on Monday, May 5, 2014, at RMC.
Survivors include her son-in-law, Leon Buchanan (WonL); grandchildren, Jon Buchanan (Elaine) and Bryant Buchanan; great-grandchildren, Amber M. Buchanan Sullivan, Marc Buchanan, Fenisha Buchanan, Nikki Buchanan and Robin Buchanan, seven great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Claudia Jermyn of Gadsden, Ruby Lee French of Attalla and Peggy Bishop of Chester, Va.
Mrs. Spraggins was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Carl T. Spraggins; daughter, Patricia Anne Buchanan; parents, Claude O. Wyatt and Amanda Cordelia Lambert Wyatt and Laura Irene Kemp of Gadsden.
Pallbearers will be Jon Buchanan, Robin Buchanan, Chris Sullivan, Bryant Buchanan, Randall Burnett and Cory Turley.
Mrs. Spraggins was a native of Etowah County and a resident of Calhoun County for most of her life. She was a member of Parker Memorial Baptist Church, was an officer in the Phebean Sunday School class. Mrs. Spraggins assisted her husband faithfully with his ministry.
