Funeral service for Lynn Backus Daugherty, 90, of Glencoe, will be at noon Saturday, May 31, 2014, at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary. Burial will follow at the Edgemont Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until noon on Saturday at the funeral home. Mrs. Daugherty died Friday morning at her residence.

Survivors include her daughter, Gail Andrews (Mike); son, Billy Daugherty (Regina); grandchildren, Lee Daugherty (Cynthia), Dawn Casey (Randy), Tammy Hersch (Dave), Dana Blount (Jeff); great-grandchildren, Brett Daugherty, Blake Daugherty, Brooke Daugherty, Carson Camper, Amber Yarbrough and Andrew Casey; sisters, Gladys Hight, Flora Fleming, Dessie May Burdett; brothers, Roscoe "Bill" Backus and Lee Backus; and special niece, Bobbie Craton.
Mrs. Daugherty was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Daugherty Jr.; and parents, Henry and Dessie May Sides Backus.
Mrs. Daugherty was a native of Calhoun County. She was an Air Craft Mechanic stationed in Ogden, Utah, during WWII.
