A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Glencoe-Hokes Bluff Chapel for Wendy Parker Roberson, 45, with burial in the adjoining cemetery. The Rev. Thom Harrison will officiate. Wendy went to Heaven on Thursday, July 10, 2014.
The Guest Book is expired.
Wendy was a native of Pell City and had lived most of her adult life in Etowah County. She was a former member of the Air Force Reserves. Wendy was a nursing graduate of the Alabama School of Trades, and had worked most recently for Drs. Dowling and Caldwell. Wendy truly loved her patients there. In December 2012, she graduated from JSU with a degree in Social Work. She was an active member of North Glencoe Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir and served in the soup kitchen.
Wendy loved her friends and family but, most importantly, she loved the Lord.
Wendy is survived by her daughters, Emmy Roberson and Erin Quinn; her parents, Rev. Bill and Nancy Parker, all of Glencoe; her brother and sister-in-law, Kerry and Jeanine Parker, Avondale Estates, Ga; and many cousins whom she loved dearly.
Pallbearers will be Kerry Parker, Tyler Fleming, Jerry Alexander, Ronnie Roberson, Daryl Quinn and Ron Hayes.
The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 this evening.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to North Glencoe Baptist Church or the
