Beman "B.C." Mize, 89, Rainbow City, passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2014.

Funeral service will be 3 p.m. Friday at Morgan Funeral Chapel.
Rev. Bobby Joe Winningham will officiate with eulogy provided by son.
Burial in Rainbow Memorial Gardens with Military Rites. Morgan Funeral Chapel and Crematory directing.
Rev. Mize's work life started at age 14 when he was helping build Camp Sibert. He was the son of a sharecropper and lay evangelist. He worked at Republic Steel for 35 years, pastored five churches and had a religious radio program for 35 years. Rev. Mize was a member of Reed Memorial Baptist Church for over 14 years and was a Veteran of WWII, having served in the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Patsy Hoffman.
He is survived by wife of 68 years, Reba Jo Mize; son LTC.(R) Harold Mize (Teddie); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Pallbearers will be Carl Smith, Ken McBurnett, Bobby Huff, Jim Hoffman, Orvill McDonald Jr. and Stephen Cornelius.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Morgan Funeral Chapel.
