Sally Reed Obituary
Mrs. Reed was a homemaker most of her life and joined the workforce at the age of 46 after the death of her husband. She enjoyed growing flowers and loved spoiling all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. But most of all she loved spending her days with her pet dog, Peanut, who was at her bedside at the time of her death.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben F. Reed; parents, Jack and Cellie Ann Goble; granddaughter, Karen Michal Reeves; great-grandson, Riley Faulkner; great-granddaughters, Emily Nicole Dobbs and Sarah Joy McDonald.
Mrs. Reed is survived by her sons, James Mack (Linda) Lipscomb, Levaughn (Janice) Reed, Stanley (Deborah Hulsey) Reed; daughters, Brenda (Jerry) Reeves, Gilda (Charles) Reeves, Bonnie (Jim) Haney, Peggy (Denis) Green; grandchildren, Jimmy, Mike, Johnny Mack, Kevin and Jesse Lipscomb, Chris Bowlin, Jodi Fowler, Michelle Lashley, Sharon Rogers, Donna Dobbs, Deanna Burt, Kerri McDonald, Stephen Reeves, Micah Reeves, Cathy Faulkner, Aimee Noah, Brian Haney, Sonya Harrelson, Allen Venn, Ann Peach, Ben Reed, Eric Reed, Ginny Burton, Jeremy Hulsey, Shane Stiltz; 76 great-grandchildren; and 21 great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Stephen Reeves, Micah Reeves, Brian Haney, Allen Venn, Ben Reed and Eric Reed.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Lipscomb, Mike Lipscomb, Johnny Mack Lipscomb, Kevin Lipscomb, Jesse Lipscomb and Terry Reynolds.
The family would like to express a special thanks to the staff at Jacksonville Health and Rehab, Dr. James Yates, Dr. Sandra Carpenter, staff at RMC Jacksonville and Comfort Care Hospice.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 tonight at the funeral home.

I am so sorry for your loss. Sally was a special lady in my life. From the time I met her she treated me as one of hers. I can still her laughing at me when I fed Casey ice cream with a spoon. Rest and celebrate life again and give Casey some ice cream for me. I will miss you. My prayers are with the family for comfort and strength.
