Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Crestwood Chapel for Freddie Lee Orgovan, 59, Gadsden, who died Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2009. The Revs. Mike Hooks and Jerry Chapman and Pastor Margie Poteet will officiate. Burial will be at Antioch Church of Christ Cemetery. Crestwood Memorial Funeral Home will direct. Mr. Orgovan was a self employed mechanic. He was co-owner of Fred and Mark's Auto Parts. He was most proud of his salvation, becoming a minister of United Christian Church and being a member of New Life Tabernacle Church. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Mary Orgovan; and loving brother, Mark Orgovan. He is survived by his wife, Kathy McLeod Orgovan; son, James (Susan) Orgovan; daughter, Deborah (Matt) Orgovan Rasco; stepson, Patrick Rasco; grandchildren, Michael Orgovan, Scott Dowdell Orgovan, Hailey Rasco, Madison Rasco and Cameron Rasco; sisters, Rose Mary (Ted) East and Charlotte (Ernie) Gamblin; several nieces and nephews; chosen sisters, Joy Lawless and Karen Brown; and the mother of his children, Mary Blanks Orgovan. Pallbearers will be James Orgovan, Michael Orgovan, Matt Rasco, Jonathan Battles, Ted East and Ernie Gamblin. Honorary pallbearers will be Parnell Lawless, Denny Contris, Shawn Thomas, Wes Martel and all members of United Christian Church. Special thanks to Southern Care Hospice. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 this evening.
