Angels rejoice when a saint dies. There was much rejoicing Sunday when God sent his angels to lead her home. She is in no pain and is walking the golden streets with her beloved husband and all her loved ones who were waiting in Heaven.
She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She deeply loved her family and spent her life taking care of them.
She was of the Baptist faith and always looked to the time she would go to her heavenly home and spend eternity with her Lord and Savior.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, George J. Collett; father and mother, George L. and Emma Starling Cline; two great-grandchildren; one sister and two brothers.
She is survived by son, Jimmy Collett; daughters, Peggy (Alvin) Stansell, Linda (Haskell) Stansell and Joan (Tim) Collier; grandchildren, Paula Chesnut, Kim Willman, Krista Collett, Amy Stansell, Angela Curvin, Brian Stansell, Wendy Grear, Dawn Glass, Gayle Stansell Snead, Stacey Stansell, Cadie Stansell, Brent Collier and Kristi Seales; 27 great-grandchildren; and sisters and brothers, Christine (Bill) Lancaster, Carrie Gosdin, Janie Pannell, Dick (Thelma) Cline, Leo Cline, Frank (Alice) Cline and Bobby (Patsy) Cline.
Pallbearers will be grandchildren.
Special thanks to Coosa Valley Healthcare and Gadsden Regional Hospice.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at the funeral home.
