Rickey Dodd Obituary
Rickey was a devoted Christian. He retired from the city of Attalla as an equipment operator. He was an avid motorcyclist. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son and brother who will be greatly missed. He was a walking miracle and an inspiration to all till God saw fit to take him home. "As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord." Joshua 24:15
He was preceded in death by his father, A.B. Dodd; and stepfather, Bobby Reynolds.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Karen Poe Dodd; sons, Jason (LeeAnn) Dodd, Josh (Kacey) Dodd and Rayne (Kelli) Dodd; grandchildren, Hannah, Chandler, Landen, Graysen, Sara, Sawyer, Kolby, David Lane and Rex; mom, Evelyn Reynolds; sisters, Kathy (Eugene) Alverson, Rebecca Dean and Gloria (Kevin) Battles; brothers, Phillip Dodd, Keith Dodd and Carl (Dorothy) Dodd; special sisters, Linda, Jeanne, Sandy, Barbara and Kim; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Honorary pallbearers will be Eugene Alverson, Mastin Parrish, David Allen, Johnny Kell and Tommy Jones.
Special thanks to Dr. Debora Reiland and staff; and the nurses on seventh-floor SICU at Gadsden Regional Medical Center.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 this evening at the funeral home.
