Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at CrossPoint Community Church for Myretha Shropshire, Gadsden, who died April 18, 2012. Pastor Bruce Word will officiate. Burial will be in Lincoln Hill Cemetery. Adams-Buggs Funeral Service directing.
She is survived by her sister, Rose (Tim) Rancher, Gadsden; brothers, Ed (Pat) Shropshire, Smyrna, Ga., and Samuel (Regina) Shropshire, Helena; an aunt; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; special friends, Diane Clark, Pastor Bruce Word, Joe and Debbie Pullen, Sammy Penn and Becky.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service.
