Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Morgan Funeral Chapel for Ralph Douglas Brannon, 77, Gadsden, who died March 30, 2013. Dave Roberts will officiate.

Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Church Cemetery, Collinsville. Morgan Funeral Chapel and Crematory directing.
Ralph entered into rest Saturday, March 30, 2013, after fighting the battle of cancer for three years. He was born Jan. 10, 1936, and was a resident of Gadsden and an Air Force veteran who loved his country and friends. Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, James and Bertha Brannon; sister, Barbara Stephens; and three wonderful women in his life, Edna Woods Brannon, Ann Pierson and Ester White.
Survivors: nieces, Sheila Derochea, Hokes Bluff, Susan Gardner, Hawthorne, Calif.; several great-nieces, nephews and cousins; and beloved pet, Casper.
He will especially be missed by Philip, Tammy, Mary Neil and Don Hare, who shared their love, time and devotion with him through the last years and especially his last days, and we will never forget the friendship and dedication that you provided to him.
The family would like to thank all the doctors and nurses at Riverview Regional Medical Center, Cancer Center of Gadsden and a very special and loving thank you to Lawley Hospice nurses, Darcie, Barbie and Leann and Crystal and Dawn with Home Health.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 this evening at Morgan Funeral Chapel.
