Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 2, 2014, at Glencoe-Hokes Bluff Chapel for Jean Bohannon, 84, of Gadsden, who passed away January 30, 2014. Rev. Bruce Jenkins will officiate. Burial will follow at Pilgrim's Rest Cemetery. Glencoe-Hokes Bluff Funeral Home & Cemetery is in charge of services.

Jean was of the Baptist faith. She was a skilled seamstress, artist and gardener. She loved to travel, crossword puzzles, baking and happy hearts.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Talmadge; parents, Charles and Pearl Gay; daughter, Sandra Denney; daughter-in-law, Barbara Bohannon; two sisters; and four brothers.
She is survived by her sons, Charles, Tommy (Carole) and Paul Bohannon; grandsons, Charles and Stephen Bohannon, Shane Denney and Brandon Richardson; granddaughters, Tera Cothran, Paula Mason, Susan Lloyd, Angie Amos, Jennifer Roberts and Felicia Sullivan; a host of great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Special thanks to niece, Rose Mary Lee, and Amedisys Hospice.
The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. to the time of service at the funeral home.
