TEAGUE, JAMES, 82
Keystone Heights - James "Larry" Teague, age 82 of Key-stone Heights passed away Monday, August 4, 2014 at his home suffering from Parkinson's. He was born March 20, 1932 at the old St. Luke's Hospital in Jacksonville to the late C.H. and Clariece (John-son) Teague, and was a 1950 graduate of Landon High School. He had been employed by several plumbing companies before starting his own business, Larry Teague & Sons Plumbing in the early '50's and had also served on the Jacksonville City Council from 1971-1975.
After a heart attack in 1983, Larry sold his business and spent his retirement en-joying life to the fullest. Anyone knowing him soon found out his sense of humor and realized he had a busy and wonderful life. (Life was never dull with Larry.)
Larry loved working in his wood shop, scalloping every August, snow skiing and his first passion, water skiing. He not only competed but also served as a Senior Judge throughout the Southern Region. As a member of Keystone United Methodist Church, much of Larry's time was devoted to serving on committees and as a trustee. He oversaw the building of the Multi-Ministry Center and spent many hours each day attending to details.
In his own words found after his death "Faith in God is the best way. My church family has stood behind me 100% and are my rock."
His beautiful daughter Debbi Lyons had preceded him in death in 2005.
Survivors are his loving wife of 29 years, Janice (Begue) Teague; two sons, Donnie (Tia) Teague and Mike (Toni) Teague; two daughters, Terry (Rick) Calvert and Sherry (Keith) Segars; six grandchildren, Buddy, Mikie and Dallas Teague, Amy Carter, Ashley Lyons and Kalin Calvert; eight great grandchildren as well as the mother of his children, Dorothy Teague all of Jacksonville. Also left behind are his four step-sons, Darrell, David, Dennis and Dean Heying of Jacksonville and a special cousin, Clariece Ellis of Lake Butler.
Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 7, 2014 at Keystone United Methodist Church with Dr. Craig Moore and Dr. Tom Farmer officiating. The family will be receiving friends immediately following the services in the Multi-Ministry Center. There will be a private interment of the ashes at a later date. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Keystone United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 744, Keystone Heights, FL 32656.
Arrangements are under the care of Jones-Gallagher Funeral Home, 340 E. Walker Drive Keystone Heights, FL 32656.

Donnie, Mike.
I just heard about Larry's passing a couple of weeks ago from my friend Bobby Raymond.
I just wanted you both to know how much I appreciated him investing time in me and the there of you teaching me to barefoot and jump the ramp.
I can vividly remember leaning back on the rope on the beach to get the feel of it, just getting started, 40 years ago. You'll were both there.
Your dad was very special to me, I will always remember him.
All the best,
Keith

Saddened beyond words to hear the news of my friend. Know your hearts are broken. May God help and guide you during this time of grief.
Most of my memories are of younger years, especially the trip to Tahiti with Larry and Dot.
Even in Tahiti he was trying to show the Tahitians how to bare foot.
