GEE, WILLIE

Gainesville - Willie Gee, also known as Willie Gee Oates passed away March 11, 2013 at Shands Hospital. He was born in Micanopy, FL and moved to Gainesville, FL from West Palm Beach, FL in 1979, where he was a truck driver.

Survivors include sister Kathleen Dames Gainesville, FL; a special niece Carolyn Eagle Gainesville, FL; a special cousin, Beatrice Mack and numerous other nieces, nephews cousins and caring friends.

Funeral Services for Mr. Gee will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at 11:00 AM. Mt. Pedro Baptist Church Micanopy, FL. Rev. Christopher Stokes, Pastor. Burial will follow in Mt. Pedro Cemetery under the care of Chestnut Funeral Home, 18 N.W. 8th Ave., Gainesville, FL. Visitation Friday Chestnut chapel 2:00-7:00 PM and on Saturday at the church one hour before the service. The cortege will form at the home of his sister Pastor Kathleen Dames 2016 S.W. 73rd Street at 10:15 AM.

To the family I remember how much "Mr. Foots" enjoyed going to baseball games and having a good time in country (Arredondo)and other areas of Alachua County. He was a hard worker and a good man.
