Sanders, Sybil Folmar  
SANDERS, SYBIL FOLMAR, 89 Sybil Folmar Sanders, 89, peacefully passed away, Wednesday, September 21, 2016, at her daughter's home in Gainesville, Florida. Sybil is survived by her daughters Dorothy Haller and Wylene Dickerman, son James F. Sanders, five grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren. Services will be held in Troy, Alabama, where Sybil will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband of 65 years, Wiley H. Sanders. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to the E.T. York Hospice Care Center, 4200 NW 90th Blvd., Gainesville, FL 32606. Savoia, Benjamin Sebastian  
SAVOIA, BENJAMIN SEBASTIAN Benjamin Sebastian Savoia passed away on September 12, 2016 in hospice care following a battle with cancer. He was 84 years old. Mr. Savoia was a long-time resident of Gainesville, a University of Florida alumnus and a Navy veteran. He is survived by 5 children and 8 grandchildren. Private memorial services for the immediate family are pending. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society are encouraged and appreciated.

SCHULZ, ROY ALFRED  
SCHULZ, ROY ALFRED Roy was born in Milwaukee WI to Elizabeth & Alfred Schulz in 1928. He came to Dania, FL as a young boy. He went to South Brevard High & joined the Navy near the end of World War II, served aboard ship, re-enlisted during the Korean War but was never in combat. He served in the Corsair Fighter Squadron in Miami. First job was with Southern Bell Telephone, them to Bell South, then retired from AT&T. Went into business with a friend, R&S Communications, and then retired permanently. Had 2 lovely daughters, Susan Eddie & Sandra Lucas, 3 granddaughters; Shannon Eddie, Patricia Eddie & Jennifer Lucas Williams. Also 2 great grandsons; Heath & Forrest Williams. Celebrated 66 years of marriage July 1, plus 2 years of dating. Always doing things together from photography, fishing, model railroading, bowling, etc. Roy designed & built their home and did a lot of work on it. We know he went to heaven, as he was always a loving & wonderful husband & father. Service will be for immediate family only. Arrangements are under the care of Forest Meadows Funeral Home, Gainesville, FL.

SENTERFITT, VERNON COLEMAN  
SENTERFITT, VERNON COLEMAN, 79 Vernon Senterfitt passed away in Gainesville, Florida, September 15, 2016 as a result of cancer. He had no pain and went peacefully in his sleep for which his family was most grateful. He leaves Marilyn Berry Senterfitt, his wife of 57 years. They were blessed with 4 children, 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Vern was born in Hialeah, Florida in 1936. He spent his formative years in Pensacola. He received his BS, Masters and Phd. At the University of Florida. He worked at Shands Health Center beginning as a lab assistant in 1961 and retiring in 1995 as Director of Teaching Labs in the Medical School. In retirement he enjoyed many hours on his sailboat or in his work shop constructing canoes to small boxes. Vern served in the Navy and requested he be interred at the Barrancas Military Cemetery in Pensacola, Florida. Those wishes will be fulfilled in the near future. To all who knew and loved him, he will be missed.

SINGH, VICTORIA  
SINGH, VICTORIA 'VICKIE' SLEDGE, 54 Victoria 'Vickie' Sledge Singh, age 54, of Gainesville, Florida, passed away on September 12, 2016. She was the beloved mother of Robert Dylan Sledge and Jonathan Dalton Sledge. The daughter of John and Sharon Connell, Vickie was born on May 9, 1962, and grew up in Gainesville. She was a registered nurse for 25 years. Vickie was an accomplished equestrian, animal lover, and Gator fan. She enjoyed cooking, her garden and the beach. Vickie is survived by her sons; ex-husbands, Jesse Sledge and Kam Singh; mother, Sharon Connell; sisters, Julie Connell and Debbie Hoyer; brothers-in-law, Wade Kimbrell and John Hoyer; and nephews, Will and Owen Kimbrell. A private service of remembrance was held on Saturday, Sept. 17, followed by burial at Evergreen Cemetery. Donations may be made to Gainesville Pet Rescue. Arrangements are in the care of Milam Funeral and Cremation Services, www.milamfh.com .
