CREMEANS, TODD ALLEN, 36 Gainesville - Todd Cremeans, 36, of Gainesville, went to be with the Lord on July 25, 2015. Todd worked for Michael Maintenance & Repair as a vendor for Real Estate companies. The son of Gilbert Cremeans and Linda Cremeans-Euler, he is survived by a daughter, Erin Moore Cremeans and her mother, Tonya Cremeans. His Mother, Linda Euler, and step father, Robert Euler; two brothers, twin Michael Paul Cremeans and wife Tiffany Cremeans; Jason Edward Cremeans and wife, Amanda Cremeans. He is also survived by two very special nephews, Michael Paul Cremeans, Jr., and Callum J. Cremeans; nieces Peyton Renee Cremeans, Mickhala Hope Fortner, and Alexis Faith Fortner; step brothers Chris Bias, Robert Hall; two step sisters, Melinda Bias and Wendi Bias; step mother Marcie Cremeans, all of Kenova, WV; and a host of family and friends. A viewing will be held at Forest Meadows Funeral Home 725 NW 23rd Avenue Gainesville, Florida 32609 on Friday, July 31, 2015, from 6pm-8pm. The funeral will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, August 1, 2015.

CURTIS, DELORES BALOON, 73 Delores Baloon Curtis, age 73, retired poultry handler, left this earthly scene on July 17, 2015, at Parkland Rehab & Nursing Center (Gainesville, FL). The Homegoing Celebration will be held 2:00PM Saturday, August 1, 2015, at Greater Love & Faith Ministry (Gainesville, FL) where Pastor Beatrice K. Long Richardson is Pastor, with Pastor Neil Butler Jr. delivering the Eulogy. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery. Mrs. Curtis will be viewed at the Funeral Home on Friday (2:00-7:00PM) - And at the Church on Saturday with the Processional. The Procession will form at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Celia Rivers, 618 SE 14th Street, Gainesville, at 1:30PM. Those left to mourn, but cherish, her memory are: a long-time companion - Larry D. Marshall of Greensboro, NC; daughters - Celia (& Sammie) Rivers of Gainesville, FL and Pamela A. DAVIS, LAMAR, 78 Gainesville - Lamar Davis, 78 of Gainesville, Florida went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 14, 2015. Mr. Davis was born in Panama City, Florida on April 15, 1937. He loved his family, many friends, golf and FSU football. He is preceded in death by his parents, Phenia and Leon Harper. He is survived by his wife JoAnn Hancock Davis; three daughters: Deborah Davis, Griffin, GA, Brenda Outly (Greg) of South Hero, VT and Carole Donovan (Tim) of Thomasville, GA; three sisters: Mary Ellen Kirkland and Elaine Fleeman (Ronnie) of Auburndale, FL and Valinda Boykin (Gary) of Avon Park, FL; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. A graveside service will take place at 11:00 am on Saturday, August, 8, 2015, at the Auburndale Memorial Park, 1889 Derby Avenue, Auburndale, Florida 33823.

DAVIS, RUTH, 93 Stuart - Ruth Davis, age 93 of Stuart, FL passed away on Thursday, July 23, 2015 at her home. She was born June 25, 1922 in Butler, PA to Paul & Loretta Fair. She married Charles 'Ed' Davis in 1951 and 6 months later moved to West Palm Beach here they raised their 3 children. She was employed by Southern Bell for over 27 years. After 30 years in W Palm Beach they retired to Stuart. Ruth was preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, her daughter, Darlene Ault, her parents and a brother, Gifford. She is survived by her son, Eric Davis of Stuart, daughter, Karen Fox of Gainesville, daughter-in-law, Patricia McKinney, son-in-law, David Ault, sister, Martha Ann Eichelsdoerfer, brother Wayne Fair, 2 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Ruth was a very spiritual woman and wonderful Mother. She will be deeply missed by all. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Monday, July 27, 2015 at the Forest Hills Funeral Home, Palm City with a prayer service at 1:00 PM in the funeral home chapel. DEAN, DAVID ARNOLD - Madison  
DEAN, DAVID ARNOLD, 86 David Arnold Dean was bum June 3, 1929 in Brockton, MA and died July 24, 2015 at Vernon Green in Vernon, Vermont at the age of 36. He was the only son born to Ellery Cushing Dean and Phoebe Chase Dean. His funeral service will be held at the Village Church in Dowling Park, FL on Friday, July 31st at 11am with Dr. Timothy Setzer officiating. Visitation will be held at the Village Church before the funeral from 10 to 11am and burial will follow immediately at the Bixler East Cemetery. Dr. David A. Dean is survived by his wife Lee K. Barringer Dean of the Advent Christian Village in Dowling Park, FL; 4 sons, Rev. Dwight S. Dean (Barbara) of Windsor Locks, CT; Rev. David E. Dean (Melodie) of Sandwich, IL; Rev. Paul M. Dean (Linda) of Pink Hill, NC; Rev. Nathan E. Dean (Susan) of Augusta, GA; a daughter, Bethany D. Melton (J.R.) Concord, NC; a sister Natalie Gartman (Gene) Orangeburg, SC; 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by his wife of 59 years, Dorothy P. Dean. Dr. Dean was an ordained Advent Christian minister who served churches in New Hampshire, Quebec, Massachusetts and Florida; an administrator and professor at Berkshire Christian College; a Theology professor at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary; a distinguished Advent Christian theologian; a missionary who served in Mexico, Japan, India and the Philippines; and the author of numerous books. He impacted the lives of countless people through his preaching, teaching, and writing. His life was a reflection of the character of the Lord he served and his legacy continues in the lives of his family and students. Memorial donations may be made to Berkshire Christian College, the Advent Christian Village or Vernon Advent Christian Home. DEES Sr., WILLIAM CLYDE  
DEES, SR., WILLIAM CLYDE Clyde Dees of Waldo passed away at Haven Hospice in Gainesville on Wednesday, July 22, 2015, at the age of 91. Ruth, his loving wife of 72 years was by his side. He was born Sept 21, 1923 in Wimauma, FL. He was the eldest and last surviving child of Marvin and Minnie Dees. He served in the US Navy in the South Pacific during WWII. He retired from the University of Florida as an Electrical Maintenance Supervisor in 1980 after 34 years of service. He was a Master Mason of the Masonic Lodge Number 10 of Waldo, Florida for over 60 years and the Order of Eastern Star, Number 120 of Waldo for over 50 years. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Dees, daughter, Margaret Elizabeth 'Betty' (Pete) Peters of Gainesville, and son, William 'Bill' C Dees, Jr. (Carolyn) of Polk City; 4 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. During his retirement he enjoyed square dancing, traveling in his RV, helping family and friends with electrical and construction projects and 'piddling' in his workshop. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

DEMPS, EDWARD, 94 Deacon Edward Demps, retired Histologist with the University of Florida Pathology Department, member of Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church where he served in the capacity of Deacon, Choir Member, Sunday School Superintendent, Trustee and Custodian, passed away July 22, 2015 at North Florida Regional Medical Center. Mr. Demps moved to Gainesville from Perry, FL in 1949. At his passing, he was 94 years of age. One son; Kenneth Demps preceded him in death. He leaves behind his loving wife of over seventy years, Susie Demps, Gainesville, FL; son, Charles Demps, Gainesville, FL; daughter, Dwan Demps Romain (Ryan), Rosalle, NJ; five grandchildren, Brian Demps, Mesha Demps, Mark Demps (Creal), Ketina Barriner (Terrence), LaWanda Wilson (Adrian), Fred Mack and fifteen great grandchildren. Funeral Services for Deacon Demps will be held, 11:00am, Wednesday, July 29th, 2015 at Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church, Rev. Freemon N. ELLIS, REED, 70 Hawthorne - Reed Ellis, age 70 of Hawthorne, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 in Shands UF Hospital. Reed was born November 12, 1944 in Ocala, Florida to Charles J. and Alice Mae Reed Ellis. He was retired from the University of Florida Graduate School where he worked as an editor, after teaching English for 17 years at St. Johns River Community College in Palatka. Reed enjoyed reading and sports, especially basketball, and his cats and dog, Spike. He is survived by his wife, Leslie Ellis; brother, Tommy Ellis (Jill) of Citra, FL; sisters-in-law, Wendy Jowers and Pam Schellinger; nephews, Daniel and Jeremy (Elizabeth) Ellis; grandnephews, Jacob and Jonathon and grandniece, Caitlyn. He was born August 22, 1931 in Tampa, Florida to Leonard and Aurelia Mascuana Gonzalez. He enjoyed and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He also enjoyed the beach and mountains. He was proud to have served his country in the US Army. Nicholas is preceded in death by his brother, Leonard Gonzalez. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Helen; children, Judy Brunn (Eric), Aurelia Matthews, Nicholas Gonzalez Jr. (Charlene), Helen Gonzalez Jr., and Jeanette Townsend (Barry); sister, Anna Hernandez; eleven grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
