I met Cheryl through church; not as a member of her church, though through her I have become a friend of Parkview. One day I called her church and she answered the phone. I invited the members of Parkview Baptist to partner with us at Grace Presbyterian(just across the street) in collecting blood. Cheryl was so gracious and enthusiastic about the idea. She was a blood donor and anxiously encouraged her congregation to support blood donation as well. Over our years of planning blood drives back and forth across the street she was so proud as our congregations would visit one another as we swapped turns hosting the drives and planning fun themes. It was an honor to work with Cheryl in this capacity and I will cherish fond memories of her.

To the Lloyd Family,
So sorry to hear the sad news about Cheryl. My heart goes out to you all for your precious loss. May all your wonderful memories you shared with Cheryl always bring you comfort. And most of all may the God of Love, who never causes what is bad to happen, sustain you with His promise of Hope! When He will soon end all sickness and death!
"He will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away. And the ONE seated on the throne said; "Look! I am making all things NEW...these words are faithful and TRUE."

I remember Cheryl from school as a friendly, kind, considerate and beautiful person. Although her life was too short, I'm glad she had such an impact in the lives of so many. May her family be comforted by the fact she was loved by so many. - LBHS Class of '75
