Florence (Flo) Ruth Boltansky of Gainesville, a self-taught jazz pianist who charmed people with her music and her lively personality, died Monday, October 1, 2012 at Shands Hospital. She was 91.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, October 7 in Miami. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, October 5 at 10 a.m. at Temple B'nai Israel, 3830 NW 16th Boulevard, Gainesville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Cecilia Francer; her second husband, Meyer (Mike) Boltansky, and daughter, Cynthia Schlosberg.

She is survived by her son, Bernard Spiegel; daughter, Sandra Albeg; daughter, Elaine Golman, 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Florence Boltansky to Hospice of Nature Coast, 150 N. Main Street, High Springs, FL 31643.
