Jack Lucas, 84, of Fanning Springs, passed away June 14, 2014.

Jack was born in Wheeling, West Virginia, and proudly served his country in the Korean War as a member of the United States Army. Jack was a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of the Shamrock Lodge. Jack was also a Past-President of the Dixie County Shrine Club and a current member of the Suwannee River Shrine Club. Jack moved to Old Town in 1980 and retired after 36 years with Nabisco Brands. He enjoyed spending time with his family, boating, fishing, and golf.

He is survived by his wife Lorina D. Lucas, of Fanning Springs; daughter Shelley Weber; sons Jay and Jeff Lucas; step-daughter, Beverly Baumer; 10 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Colene C. Lucas.

There will be a service on Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at 11.30am at Fanning Springs Community Church, 17930 NW 90th Court, Fanning Springs, Florida 32693.

Arrangements are under the care of Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services - 1301 N. Young Boulevard, Chiefland, Florida.
