HOPE, JAMES MAURICE, 81
Windsor, Florida - Mr. James Maurice Hope, age 81, died Friday morning at his home in Windsor. Mr. Hope was born in Lakeland, Florida to Claude and Lois Haltiwonger Hope on June 26, 1931. He moved to Gainesville, Florida and in 1970 moved to Windsor, Florida. Mr. Hope was owner and operator of Amason Electric Company a member of the I.B.E.W. Local 1205, and was a partner in their Gainesville Electrical Apprenticeship Program as a teacher and mentor. He was a member of Windsor Baptist Church, where he was a deacon and held many other positions.
Maurice is survived by his wife Ruth Snowden Hope; son Maurice Steven Hope (Sharon); daughter Gale Hope Sanders (Rick), all of Windsor, FL.; brother Joe Hope (Janet) of Chattanooga, TN; sister Joyce Umstead of Vidalia, GA.; five grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at Milam Funeral Home Chapel, 311 South Main Street, Gainesville, 352-376-5361. The Funeral Service will be held Friday morning at 11:00 AM in the Windsor Baptist Church, Windsor, FL. 918 S.E. CR 234, Windsor, FL. Burial will follow in the Providence Cemetery, Windsor, Florida.
