Florahome - Mr. James Walter Lee, age 81, of Florahome, passed away Thursday, March 21, 2013.

Mr. Lee was born in Starke, January of 1932 to the late Walter and Edna (Rosier) Lee. He worked 35 years for E.I. Dupont as a Mining Supervisor. Mr. Lee served in the U. S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict, was a life-time member of the American Legion and was an honorary member of the Florida Sheriff's Association. Mr. Lee was a faithful member of Heilbronn Springs Baptist Church, where he served as Secretary and Treasurer and was a deacon for 47 years.

Mr. Lee is survived by his wife Mary L. (Gaskins) Lee, a son, Michael Lee and wife, Darlene of Starke, a daughter, Nancy Norman and husband, Ray of Lawtey, a brother, Wayne Lee of Orange Park, a sister, Eleanor Lee of Bradenton, 3 grandchildren, Christopher Lee of Seattle, WA Jason Lee of Charleston, SC and Jared Lee of Vancouver, British Columbia, as well as 2 great-grandchildren, Carson and Cadence Lee.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM, Sunday, March 24, 2013 at Heilbronn Springs Baptist Church with Brother Danny Boyd and Tom Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in Starke with Military honors presented by the U. S. Air Force. The family will receive friends at the Church from 2:00 PM until time of services at 3:00 PM.
