Lake Butler - Mr. Joseph Fredrick "Joe" Corbett, 78 of rural Lake Butler died Thursday morning at Haven Hospice E.T. York after a brief illness. Mr. Corbett was born in Cincinnati, Ohio. He moved to South Florida in 1961 where he lived until retiring to Lake Butler in 2001. He was a plumber. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Reserves, a member of the Lake City Elks Club, the North Florida Gator Club, the Gator Town Gators and the University of Florida Alumni Association. He was the son of the late Arthur William and Mary Ann Ridder Corbett and was preceded in death by a son, Daniel Corbett and a sister, Virginia Brannon.

Mr. Corbett is survived by his wife Shirley Muncy Corbett of rural Lake Butler; one daughter Devoni (husband Tom) Wardlow of Sugar Land, Texas; one son Robert "Robbie" (wife Denna Green) of Thomasville, GA; one brother: William (wife Rosemary) Corbett of Mason, Ohio; five grandsons, Danny (wife Chelsea) Wardlow of Sugar Land, Texas, T.J Wardlow of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, Morgen Corbett of Tallahassee, Fl., Alex and Forest Green of Thomasville, GA; one great-granddaughter Amberly Wardlow and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family in Lake Butler and Ohio.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 02, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel of Archer Funeral Home of Lake Butler with Bro. Scott Fisher officiating. Burial will be at a later date at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Cemetery in North Lauderdale. Archer Funeral Home of Lake Butler is in charge of arrangements 386-496-2008. The family will receive friends at Archer Funeral Home from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Saturday morning (just prior to services). If desired, donations can be made in Mr. Corbett's name to E.T.
