Maxie Clark, Sr. 87, passed away Nov. 7, 2012 at E.T. York Care Center. He was born in Bland, Florida spent most of his life in the Alachua and Gainesville area. He was a member of Springhill Baptist Church, where he served in the Male Chorus. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Army. Survivors include wife; Luella Williams Clark, Gainesville, FL. Two sons Marion Clark, Sr. (Janice) Darren Clark, Sr. (Danielle) all of Gainesville, FL.; three daughters Maxine Clark Brown, Ocala, FL., Donna G. Clark, & Sandra Clark Frazier, (Robert) both of Gainesville, FL, one sister Florrie Mae Graham. Gainesville, FL. 37 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services for Mr. Clark will be held on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at Faith Baptist Church 2905 S.E. 21st Ave Gainesville, FL Rev. Kevin Thorpe, Pastor, Rev. Adrian Taylor Officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery under the care of Chestnut Funeral Home 18 N.W. 8th Ave., Gainesville, FL Visitation at Chestnut Memorial Chapel on Friday, Nov. 16, 2012 2:00-7:00 PM and on Saturday at the church one hour before the service. The family will receive friends at the chapel on Friday from 5:00-6:00 PM The cortege will form at the home of his daughter & son-in-law Sandra & Robert Frazier, 1309 N.E. 28th Ave at 10:15AM.
