Patricia Elaine Fletcher Vice, 69 of Greensboro, passed away suddenly at home on Tuesday, July 2013.

Patricia was born on December 16, 1943, to Adrian Clark Fletcher and Annie Muriel Smith Fletcher, in Quincy, FL and lived in Greensboro. She was a graduate of Greensboro High School and was Valedictorian, and she also graduated. from Florida State University Patricia retired from the University of Florida library following 34 years of service. While living in Gainesville, she was a member of Westside Baptist Church where she and her husband established the church library and she served As church librarian for 20 years. She was on the Board of Directors of the Alachua County Humane Society for 15 years. Following her retirement, she relocated to the family farm in Greensboro and served as President of Adrian C. Fletcher Farms, Inc..

Patricia was an active member of Flat Creek Baptist Church and served as Director of Women on Mission and editor and publisher of the weekly

bulletin. She served on the Board of the Gadsden Country Tourist Development Council. She was a founding member and served as Vice-President of the West Gadsden Historical Society. She was an active member of her community and always willing to lend a helping hand.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, William Eugene Vice, of Greensboro, her sisters; Glenda Fletcher Hall of Ft. Walton Beach, Rosalyn Fletcher Penn of Greensboro, Janet Fletcher Bridges of Juniper, a brother; Adrian Clark Fletcher, Jr. (Densyl) of Lake Talquin, other survivors include nieces, Rebecca Penn Huddleston (Stephen), Ammie Patricia Elaine Fletcher and Elizabeth Bridges, nephews; Walker

Bridges (Kristen), Matthew Bridges, Donald Hall, Jr., Adrian Fletcher, III, and 2 great nephews; Blair Bridges and Fletcher Huddleston, an aunt; Maude Wilson of Columbus, GA. She was preceded in death by her parents; Adrian and Annie Muriel Fletcher and a nephew, Hamilton Fletcher Penn.

The service will be 10:00AM, Saturday, July 27 at Flat Creek Baptist Church, with burial at the church cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 PM Friday, July 26 at Independent Funeral Home (850-875-1529) in Quincy.
