Peggy Ann Gross passed away on August 17, 2013 after a prolonged illness.

She was born on April 11, 1934 in Detroit, MI to Roy and Minnie Clare. Peggy grew up in Detroit and attended Mackenzie High School.

As a young lady Peggy enjoyed dancing, figure skating, and racing boats and motorcycles. With maturity her interests broadened to include NASCAR, football, and her fast red sports car. She generously supported efforts to save the rain forest and various charities devoted to animals. Over the years she rescued and cared for many feral cats including her beloved cat of 14 years, Callie.

Peggy was preceded in death by her son Jack Wright and is survived by her spouse Jack Gross; her sons John (Virginia) Wright of Detroit MI; Joe (Sherry) Wright of Niota, TN; her daughters Crystal (Randolph) Bassett of Snellville, GA; Tarrell Wright of Orchard, NE; Kendall Wright of Asheville, NC; Andrea (Darrial) Marshall of Linden, TN; and Peggy (Douglas) Glover of Starke, FL; and her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A private memorial service is planned for the family.
