Robert Francis Lescault, age 57 of Gainesville passed away Saturday, November 10, 2012 at North Florida Regional Medical Center.

He was born August 6, 1955 in Brooklyn, New York the only son of Frank and June Curran Lescault.

Bob was a graduate of North Miami Senior High School and Miami Dade Community College. He attended the University of Florida and was an avid Gator Fan as well as St. Francis Catholic High School Wolves. Bob held a black belt in Karate and had achieved Best National Champion in 1973 from the USKA.

Bob met his wife Debbie through mutual friends going to see Jazz musician Gato Barbieri in concert in Miami. Bob appreciated a wide range of music and enjoyed old movies. He was a fan of NASCAR, in particular Dale Earnhardt Sr. He loved the beach and always found the best shells.

Bob was a loving Husband, Father, and Son. For the past twenty one year's Bob proudly declared he was a domestic engineer and he took pride in being a stay at home Dad to his sons Calvin and Cameron. He was working on restoring a classic, "79" Chevy. He was a good friend and had a huge heart.

He will be missed by his wife of 30 years, Debbie Lescault of Gainesville; mother, June C. Lescault of Miami; sons, Calvin Lescault of Charlotte, NC and Cameron Lescault of Gainesville, FL and many cousins and friends.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday, December 1, 2012 at 1 PM at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 10900 SW 24th Avenue, with Fr. Jeff McGowan as celebrant.
