Gainesville- Roxie Bell (Nobles) Taylor passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at E.T. York Hospice Care Center, Gainesville, FL. She was surrounded by her loving and caring family. She was born to Alvin O. and Carrie Nobles on March 25, 1912 in Gainesville, Florida. She was the oldest of 8 children. She enjoyed watching Gator sports (especially football and baseball) and game shows on television. She loved to make quilts, complete word finds, writing letters the old fashioned way and she looked forward to each Christmas party with her entire family. Family was what she treasured most of all in her 101 years she lived.

Roxie is preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin James Taylor, an infant son, daughter, Ermagene Rutledge and grandsons, Gregory James Adams and Wayne J. Amerson and great granddaughter, Audrey Adams. She is survived by her daughters, Martha (Bernice) Amerson of Westville, FL, Patricia Ann Harrington and Judy (David) Adams, all of Gainesville, FL; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews.

Graveside Services will be held Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at 10:00 a.m., in Evergreen Cemetery, 401 SE 21st Avenue, with Donnie Wynn officiating. The family will receive friends Monday, June 10, 2013, 6:30 to 8:00 p.m., at WILLIAMS-THOMAS FUNERAL HOME DOWNTOWN, 404 North Main Street.
