Wilfrid "Bill" Eberhart passed away on December 24, 2012. Mr. Eberhart was born in Queens, NY. He served in World War II
participating in the Rome Arno Campaign in Florence, Italy where he was seriously wounded. He was a Bronze star
and Purple Heart
recipient. He became a watchmaker for Bulova Watch Company; He then began his own flooring and restaurant businesses in Montauk, NY. He retired and moved to Florida in 1974 where he spent most of his remaining years traveling, and with his family.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Eberhart in 2009.
He is survived by his daughter, Carol Gillespie, son-in-law, Bruce Gillespie and grandson, Michael Gillespie.
Graveside services will be held Friday, January 4, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in Florida National Cemetery with military honors. Arrangements are under the care of WILLIAMS-THOMAS FUNERAL HOME WESTAREA, 823 N.W. 143rd Street.
