Gainesville - Willie Marie James, 80, affectionately known as "Mrs. Bill" passed away Jan. 5, 2013 at North Florida Regional Medical Center She was born in Levy County, Fl. She spent most of her life in Gainesville. She was Human Service Worker at Taccachale.

Mrs. James was a faithful member of Church Of God By Faith, where she served as a member of the Usher Board, Mothers Board, and the Home Mission.

Survivors include three daughters, Ella James, Miami, FL., Lucille James, and Ramona James both of Gainesville, FL; six sons Freddie L. James, Jr. (Scarlet) Charlotte, NC, Willie J. James Gainesville, FL, Vernone James Sr. Houston, TX, Reginald James Sr., Ronald James Sr. & Kenneth James all of Gainesville, FL; one sister Jessie M. Robinson, Gainesville, FL; two brothers William Robinson, and Annson Robinson both of Gainesville, FL; 28 grandchildren; 41 great grandchildren.

Funeral Services for Mrs. James will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013 at Church Of God By Faith, 735 S.E. 15th Street Gainesville, FL. Bishop James E. McKnight, Sr. Pastor. Interment will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery under the care of Chestnut Funeral Home 18 N.W. 8th Ave., Gainesville, FL. Visitation Friday Chestnut Memorial Chapel 2:00-7:00 PM and on Saturday at the church one hour before the service. The cortege will form at the home of Mrs. James 1123 S.E. 19th Terrace at 10:15 AM.
