LONG, DELIA MARIE

Mrs. Delia Marie (Williams) Long, age 74, passed away October 27, 2013 at North Florida Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Long was a graduate of Florida A&M University, and taught school in Alachua and Levy Counties. She was a member of Ft. Clarke Baptist Church where she served as an Usher, she was also a member of the Retired Teachers Association for Alachua and Levy County, Female Protective Society Lodge#1, and Farmer's Aide Society.

Mrs. Long is survived by her children, Darryl Williams (Patricia), Newberry, FL, Thomas Long, Senaye Long, Arthur Bernard Long, Henry Long, Jr. (Pamela), Beatrice Kathy Long-Richardson (Larry), all of Gainesville, FL, Vander Woodbury, Henrietta Hall (Eli) both of Queens, NY; brothers, Julian Henderson (Barbara), Robert Henderson, (Cynthia), Leslie Henderson (Tracey), all of St. Petersburg, FL, James Williams, Gainesville, FL, sister; Brenda Williams, Jacksonville, FL; twenty grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Long will be held, 3:00pm, Saturday, November 2, 2013 at the Female Protective Temple, Gainesville, FL, Rev. Hubert Brown, Officiating; burial will follow in Ft. Clarke Cemetery, Gainesville, FL. Arrangements entrusted to Chestnut Funeral Home, Inc., 18 N.W. 8th Avenue, Gainesville, FL.

Mrs. Long will repose in the Chestnut Memorial Chapel on Friday, November 1, 2013 from 2:00pm until 7:00pm, and on Saturday at the Temple from 2:00pm until the hour of service. Family and friends are asked to meet at the home of Mrs. Long, 11827 S.W. 8th Avenue, Gainesville, FL, at 2:15am to form the cortege.
