Gainesville - Bishop Arthur L. Rouse, age 73, Clergyman & legendary Radio Announcer (who conducted the Gospel Train on Radio 1430AM & 107.5FM here in Gainesville), entered into eternal rest on Saturday, August 23, 2014, at Shands Hospital.
The Homegoing Celebration will be held 12:00PM Saturday, August 30, 2014, at Upper Room of Greater Gainesville Church of God in Christ (Gainesville, FL) where Pastor Pearlie L. Shelton & Superintendent Karl D. Anderson are Pastors, with his grandson, Prophet Johnny Mitchell, delivering the Eulogy. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery. Bishop Rouse will be viewed at the Funeral Home on Friday 2:00-7:00PM - At the Church on Saturday 30 Minutes prior to the Services - And with the Processional.
Left to cherish his memory are: Wife - Pastor Betty J. Rouse of Gainesville, FL; daughter - Pastor Valarie Rouse-Grace (& Pastor Melvin W. Grace, Jr.), grands - Tai-Ramone, Asha, Akil, Nailah & 2 great grands - Jaiyanna and Josiah (all of Miami, FL); Brothers - Willie Durham (& Tilda) of Jeffersonville, GA and Mark Rouse of Gainesville, FL; extended family; & friends.
