Barbara Ann McDaniel, 68, lifelong resident of Alachua, went to be with her Lord from her residence on Friday, February 17, 2012. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Alachua and a graduate of Santa Fe High School Class of 1961. She was retired as a bookkeeper at Central Builders Supply of Gainesville. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be missed by all.

Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Clifton McDaniel, Sr, two sons, Ray (Tammarin) McDaniel of Alachua and Michael (Kristin) McDaniel of Gainesville, two daughters, Cheryl Leona Fowler and Denise (Gary) Lilly both of Alachua, brother, Joe Mitchell Smith, Jr. of High Springs, four sisters, Jeanette Walker, Alachua, Shirley Chasteen, Branford, Mickey Spikes, Branford, and Diane Faircloth, Trenton, nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Tuesday, February 21 at First Presbyterian Church of Alachua with Reverend Gary Hardesty officiating. Burial will be at Newnansville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 PM Monday, February 20 at Evans-Carter Funeral Home, High Springs. (386) 454-2444
