Charles Benjamin (C.B.) Freeman passed away, January 24, 2013 at his home. He was 86 years old.

Mr. Freeman was born in Barwick, Georgia to George and Maude Freeman. He served in the Marine Corps during World War II. He was a farmer and long time resident of Alachua for 67 years.

He is survived by his loving family Martha Monaghan of Bradenton, Barbara Jeffords Lemley of Lake City, Florida; Diane Jeffords White of Orlando, Florida; Jan Jeffords-Schenck of Marietta, Georgia; and a sister Maude Truluck of Alachua.

Graveside Service will be Monday, January 28, 2013, 11:00 a.m. at Spring Hill Cemetery at Traxler in Alachua, Florida. The family will receive visitors on Sunday, January 27, 4-6 p.m. at Evans-Carter Funeral Home in High Springs, Florida.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made, in his memory, to the Wounded Warriors Project, 4899 Belfort Road, Suite 300, Jacksonville, Florida 32256. Arrangements by Evans-Carter Funeral Home, 220 N. Main Street, High Springs, Florida. 356-454-2444.
