Zebulon, NC - Charles Talbott died December 24th, 2013 and was born July 13, 1924 in Kay County - Tonkawa, OK.

He was the eldest son of 10 children to Merle & Mavel Talbott. He spent his youth on the farm and attending the Eagle School outside of Yale, Oklahoma. He was a member of the American Society for Nondestructive Testing and spent much of his career in quality control for the nuclear power plant construction industry.

Charles' utmost principles centered around his duty to his family and being serviceable to friends and mankind. He served his country in the U.S. Army in pre-Korean conflict; was a 34 year member of Amity Masonic Lodge #87 in Newberry, SC; served on various volunteer fire departments, where ever he resided; and was active in the Pilot Lions Club for the 10 years he lived on Carlyle Rd. in Zebulon.

He was pre-deceased by Jonnafay, his wife of 34 years; his parents, 2 brothers, 2 sisters, young daughter and grandson.

Funeral service 2 pm Saturday at Massey Funeral Home, Zebulon. Burial, Alford-Bunn-Upchurch Cemetery with Masonic Rites and military honors.
