During her 90 years, she was a Sunday School teacher, sang alto, and played piano by shaped notes. She was a renowned seamstress, helping craft costumes for circus performers in Sarasota and teaching her family a love of needlework. She and Ervin were "green thumb" gardeners, feeding neighbors and friends from orange, grapefruit, and lemon trees. Most recently she was unchallenged crossword champion at Al'z Place and artist-in-training with the Art Without Boundaries program. She will be missed by those whose lives she touched.
