Old Town - Mr. Francis Bryant "Frank" Crews age 91, of Old Town passed away Friday, April 19, 2013 following a brief illness.

Mr. Crews was born on November 13, 1921 in Lawtey to the late Marion L. Crews, Sr. and Martha (Wilkinson) Crews. He moved to Old Town from Safety Harbor in 1985, following an Engineering career with the State of Florida Department of Transportation and later was partial owner of and worked with Campbell Paving Company in Clearwater. Frank served in the United States Navy during World War II and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Old Town. He enjoyed spending time with his family, gardening, bee keeping, reading, studying the Bible, and was a servant of God.

He was preceded in death by siblings M.L. Crews, Jr., Herbert Crews, Delyne Pearson, and Esther Harrell.

Survivors are his wife of 68 years Winnie (Warren) Crews of Old Town; daughters, Susan Crews Kirkhart (Tim) of Lakeland; JoAnne Crews Howard (Charles) of Clearwater; sons, James Crews (Laura) of Starke; Andrew Crews (Donna) of Safety Harbor; sisters: Sarah Albert (the late Charlie) of Jacksonville; Grace Buckley (the late Gary) of Keystone Heights; fourteen grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends in the DEWITT C. JONES CHAPEL on Tuesday, April 23, 2013 from 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at 10:30 AM at the First United Methodist Church of Old Town with Pastor Carl Rainear officiating. Interment will follow at 4:00 PM at Long Branch Cemetery in Clay Hill.
