Gainesville - Age 61, Direct Care Staff Member/ Positive Images Group Home, former Health Educator with Alachua County Health Department, Graduate of Edward Waters College (Jacksonville, FL), 1972 Graduate of Gainesville High School, Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Member & A Mighty Prayer Warrier & Life-long Member & Trustee of Pleasant Plain United Methodist Church, left this earthly scene on Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at Shands Hospital @ University of Florida following a life-long battle with Sickle Cell Anemia.

The Homegoing Celebration will be held 11:00AM Saturday, March 23, 2013, at the Female Protective Society Temple (Gainesville, FL) with Reverend J. D. Johnson delivering the Eulogy. Burial will follow at the Pleasant Plain Cemetery (Jonesville Community).

Mr. Brown will be viewed at the Funeral Home on Friday 2:00-7:00PM - Immediately following (7:30PM Friday), The Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity will render Private Fraternal Rites at the Funeral Home). Mr. Brown will also be viewed at the Temple on Saturday 30 Minutes prior to the Services - And with the Processional. The Procession will form at the home of his Sister/Cousin, Joyce (& Jimi) Daniels, 4220 NW 128th Terr, Gainesville, at 10:30AM.

Those left to cherish his legacy are: Special Lady - Deloris Golston of Gainesville, FL; Sisters - Barbara Brown-Dukes of Alachua, FL, Lou Ann Foreman (& Andrew), Shirley McCray (& Carlton), Glovine Ferguson, Faye Ferguson (& Randy), Brenda Ferguson, Marjorie Belcher, Debra Williams, Teletha Williams of Gainesville, FL (Gwendolyn Mosely preceded him in death); Brothers - Roland Brown (& Rev. Gloria Brown) and Collis Dennison of Gainesville, FL (Charles Williams preceded him in death); Sisters/Cousins - Joyce Daniels (& Jimi), Loretta McCray (& LaDaniel) and Valerie Merricks (& Thaddis) of Gainesville, FL; aunts & uncles; nieces & nephews; cousins; & friends whom he cherished dearly.
