CONDO, GLORIA MORGAN
Gloria Morgan Condo, 86, passed away on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at Tri-County Hospice Care Center. Gloria had been a resident at The Village in Gainesville, Florida for the past 1 1/2 years and received loving care and companionship from their staff. Early in her adult life she lived in Gainesville for 35 years but in recent years lived in Alachua and High Springs, Florida. She was born and raised in Plant City, Florida and attended Florida Southern University.
Gloria retired in 1986 from Farmer's Home Administration, Housing Loan Department. She was a real estate broker/salesman and also taught the real estate license course. She was an avid Gator fan, volunteered for many years at Haven Hospice in Gainesville and was also a volunteer for Meals on Wheels. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of High Springs.
Gloria had a sweet spirit and kind nature and was a very loving mother to her four children. She was pre-deceased by her husband of 52 years, Jesse Kline Condo, in 1997. She is survived by her long-time companion and friend, Fred (Sonny) Hadsock, son Steve Condo (Kendra), daughters Cheryl Slechta, Melanie Jett (Dan), and Terri Charron (Dan), six grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and her sister Mary Frances (Panky) Snow.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 17, 2013 at 6:00 pm at the First Presbyterian Church of High Springs. Gloria will be cremated and her ashes will be buried in Plant City, Florida beside her late husband.
